Night Out~ @Yumi-chan~

yumi-ayasegawa:

Yumichika listened as Rangiku admitted to not trusting a man’s promise, and frowned. He began to question her about it, when he realized why she probably said that, and decided not to.

“Hm?” He hadn’t even thought of where they could go. He felt a bit stupid now. It wasn’t like this was a last minute thing or whatever. And yet, he never thought about where to go. He wasn’t even sure if there was anywhere close they could go. He ran a hand through his hair and laughed nervously. “Well… about that… I actually didn’t think about it. I never got the chance to really plan anything out. I didn’t have the time. You wouldn’t… by any chance know anywhere we could go?”

He knew Rangiku would be irritated. He would be too. In fact, he was. It wasn’t like him to do this. He usually liked to plan things out, at least a little. He hoped this wouldn’t become a habit. He didn’t want to start bad habits. They were hard to deal with, and they made people ugly.

Suddenly, Yumichika remembered talking to Shuhei about this. Shuhei had told him that there were a number of bars around the area. He smiled at Rangiku. “Actually, I just remembered there are some places around outside we can check out.”

As they started walking nowhere—mainly Yumichika being dragged along by Rangiku who had no idea where is it that they were going in the first place. Truth was she would rather be anywhere but at the school at the moment. That was where…’he’…was. And while they hadn’t talked that much—barely greeted each other, Rangiku felt as if the drift that had separated the before was still there and stretching. Then again, why wouldn’t there be a drift between them? He had betrayed her—her and all of Soul Society. The last moments she saw of him…

Shaking her head and trying her best to dispel the thoughts—they weren’t going to help any at the moment, since her intention was to forget about everything that was bringing her down.

“Well… about that… I actually didn’t think about it. I never got the chance to really plan anything out. I didn’t have the time. You wouldn’t… by any chance know anywhere we could go?”

The words finally snapped her from her thoughts, and she looked sideways at the violet eyed man, “Silly! If I asked you to take me out, it’s because I don’t know where to go!” she giggled. She was slightly annoyed that they had come all the way outside to not know where to go, but at the same time, it could serve to further explore the school.

Noticing the smile directed at her, she returned it before she registered his words.

“Actually, I just remembered there are some places around outside we can check out.”

“That’s great! We’ll drink ‘till we can drink no more!” she said, raising one hand in the air and continuing to drag Yumichika in the direction she thought they were supposed to go. He said outside, that must mean outside the Academy, right? Oh well.
